About Thapar University
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Management was established in 1956 in Patiala. The National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) accredited the university with an “A” grade. As per the NIRF 2025 ranking, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) has achieved an NIRF rank of 42 in the Research Institutions category along with an NIRF rank of 29 in the Engineering category. Thapar University has also achieved NIRF scores of 47.59 and 60.97 in each category respectively.
Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology also known as TIET Patiala offers UG, PG, and PhD courses in streams of engineering, management, sciences, and arts.
